• Question: Do you have to be good at geography to do a job like yours?

      No, I am not especially good at Geography. I studied it up to the age of 16 years. Climate Science or Atmospheric Science is more based on a good understanding of mathematics and physics.

    Geography covers many subjects not just about where countries are, their capital cities, the big rivers etc. There are many different branches of Geography that range from Physical Geography through to Biogeography and human geography. I actually only studied geography in school to O-level, but my PhD is in physical geography and much of the work I do today relies on work done by geographers and their colleagues
