        Hi!

We get different seasons on Earth depending on which part of the planet is closest to the Sun. The Earth spins round every day, and that’s why we get day and night, but over the course of a year it also travels in a loop around the Sun, this means that one part of the planet is always a bit closer to the Sun. When it’s summer in Britain, it’s actually winter in Australia, so for them it’s sunny on Christmas Day!
