Great question! ? We can’t land on Jupiter because it’s made of gas – so if we tried to land on the surface we wouldn’t be able to stand on it! ? Jupiter is huge though, if you added all the other planets together in the solar system, they still wouldn’t be as big as Jupiter!

Great question and great answer Cat!

We wouldn’t be able to land on Jupiter but maybe one day we could land on one of Jupiter’s moons! Jupiter has 67 of them! NASA have started a project to fly to one of Jupiter’s moons, called Europa. It’s an icy moon that’s a little bit smaller than our moon and scientists think it might be a promising place to look for life beyond Earth!

Have you ever noticed in pictures of Jupiter it has a big red spot? It’s called the Great Red Spot and it’s actually a huge storm on Jupiter that has lasted for hundreds of years. Jupiter is so massive that even this storm is bigger than planet Earth!
