Hi there! I try to do lots of things to help other people get into science. I’ve gone to a few different science festivals to do experiments and talk about my research and they’re really fun. My favourite was at a music festival because we spoke to loads of people from different backgrounds and had some really good chats.

I also like to run workshops in schools about science – particularly the science I do in my job. I think it’s really important that the workshops are lots of fun so we always do lots of experiments instead of just talking about science! If I win this I’d like to use the money to help fund some more workshops where we talk about climate change and what we can do about it. There’s a really fun experiment where you can make solar cells out of raspberries I’d like to do!

I think that I’m a Scientist is a really great thing to do! It’s really great that you guys to get the chance to talk to scientists! When I was little I never got the chance to – at least not that I knew of! I think it’s important to show you scientists are normal people too, not just crazy people in white coats!

Do you think I’m a Scientist has inspired you?
