        The Sun is absolutely enormous, especially compared to Earth! The Sun is 864,400 miles across. Earth is about 7,920 miles across. The Sun is so large that you could fit about 1,300,000 planet Earths inside of it. The Sun is so big that it makes up about 99% of all the mass of our Solar System!

        The Sun is about 93 million miles away from Earth – that’s a long long way away!
