• Question: do we get earth quakes in this country

      Hi there!

      Yes we do! They happen fairly often but they’re only little ones. We get about 300 tremors a year in the UK These tremors are nowhere near as big as some of the earthquakes you see on the news that cause big problems in other countries. Most are so small that no one really notices them.

      There was actually an earthquake in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire last week! On the news they said it was unusual because people actually felt it – that’s rare in this country!
