The biggest bacteria I have found is usually only around 1-2 micrometers long, which is tiny! Usually I work with Actinomycetes which are a unique group of bacteria. The biggest bacteria discovered is Thiomargarita namibiensis which is about 100-300 micrometers in diameter, super sized compared to common microbes!
