Carbon dioxide is due to the fabrication of cement. And cement is the main component of concrete. So we can use industrial waste (like municipal waste ash, from our trash, or slag a waste from the steel industry). This waste will be mix with a special solution called “alkaline solution”, and it can create a paste that is as efficient as the cement.
So the short answer is “we replace the cement by other materials”.
