Question: why is putting anti-bacterial gel on, so important ?

three reasons really why we use gel more and more

1) it reduces the numbers of bacteria on your skin so that if you do pass some on, its a lower dose and less likely to cause disease. Thats important in the bacteria could harm, say, hospial patients whose immune systems are less than perfect, or the bacteria, doing you no harm, are antibiotic resistant

2) it leaves no sticky residue, it all evaporates away so there is no water washing and hand drying both of which can spread bacteria

3) it feels cool as the gel evaporates, psychologically you feel cleaner
