• Question: Why do some people have monobrows?

      Laura,

      I guess it is a genetic trait and perhaps associated with hormones..? That’s all I know about this.

      because they don’t pluck them – same reason as why some people have lots of hair and others don’t, probably mainly due to genes so you can blame your parents for that one!

      I guess hairiness is probablty genetic, so there is probably a monobrow gene (or set of genes) out there. Maybe we should screen the Gallagcher brothers to try and discover it…..

      well its down to genetic variation, how we are all different with different versions of genes ( allelles) but also with different genes expressed ( switched on) at different levels

      certainly things like hair colour and type ( fine thick etc) can be linked to genes and passed on…but with the multicultural word we are now in its hard to say Scandanavian blond and muscular, mediterranian darker skinned and dark hair.
      For instance in irish my last name means ” the danes” which isn’t the first thing i think of when i see the photo on the web page
