      Hello sam,

Absolutely no. Some people have become obsessed with cleanliness and that is not necessary.

      🙂

It would be better to have soap as a lot of bugs would not be washed off by water alone. Ask your teacher if they could put some sopa in your bathroom or take some of the antiseptic gels into school.

Washing your hands with just water is better than not washing them at all, but soap helps remove any nasties that water alone cannot get rid of. If someone has gone to the loo and not washed their hands, its possible you could catch something from them, for example if you shook hands immediately afterwards, but I’ve seen people leave toilets where there IS soap and not wash their hands. Best not to get too obsessed about it though.
Is there any other way of keeping your hands relatively clean?

I don’t believe so…i think washing hands in hot water gets rid of or kills many bacteria. Soap helps especially with viruses like flu that are enveloped ( surrounded by a membrane that soap pops)
you could ask your school why no soap is present..I would

Soap is going to help get rid of nasty bugs, but just washing your hands with hot water will be good as well- don’t get too caught up with being super-clean. It would be good to have some kind of ant-bacterial hand soap/gel around for people who have colds and sneeze into there hands I guess…..
