Question: Have you ever had an allergic reaction to any chemicals you have used?

  some glove powders give me rashes, otherwsie as long as its not citrus i should be ok..in fact some of soaps and detergents the cleaners use recently make me feel worse than most lab chemicals because of the citrus smell

  No so far I have not developed any allergies. I guess I must be lucky or genetically resistant to allergies.

  Thankfully no, I haven’t. We know which chemicals are likely to be dangerous so take extra care, some of them a really nasty poisons.
  We take great precautions to work safely, wearing rubber gloves, safety specs and lab coats. However, I am allergic to the type of rubber used to make some of the gloves, so I have to wear a different type.

  Luckily no! I am allergic to cats (a bit), but thankfully we don’t have any cats in the lab.

  I am allergic to the latex gloves so I have to wear a certain type of glove in the lab. I don’t think I am allergic to any chemicals although I don’t drink them and don’t let them get on my skin.
