There will never be a single cure for cancer as they pretty much all behave differently in the body. There are cures for some though, such as skin cancer, thyroid cancer and some types of leukemia, unfortunately they don’t all work 100% of the time.
Cancer is a very complex disease, and lots of different cancers are different so finding a cure that will deal with all cancer will be very difficult. But for specific types of cancer, yes, definitely we are close (and in some cases there are already very good drugs out there).
This is the million dollar question. It is a difficult task. Cancer is a name for a range of different diseases. There are many different types of cancers with different characteristics and causes. I guess it will not be possible to find a universal single cure but great progress has already been made in curing a number of different cancers already. Diagnosing it early is the key for sure in most cases.
I beleive so yes…as we undertsand more about human genetics and how our body interatcs with the environment we will learn more amore about controlling it
