In our colon we have bacteria that way as much as a bag of sugar ( 1kg) Which when you are my shape is a nice thought when i step on the scales.
Generally for every human cell there are 10 bacteria or viral cells in the body, but they are so much smaller than out cells that there is plenty of room for everyone
There is lots of research on how many of our genes were given to us from viruses that can put their DNA intop out chromosomes, and we would not be as halthy as we are without the commensal bacteria 9 ones that live in/on us but do no harm)
But ignore adverts that call them ” friendly” they don’t care its just luck that what they do helps our immune system..they , like us, are just out for themeslves ( biologically speaking)
