It’s a great shame if you have got CF, must be very uncomfortable for you.
You had better ask your parents for more information, or alternatively try the Cystic Fibrosis Trust http://www.cftrust.org.uk/aboutcf/whatiscf/
Remember, just being alive is a terminal illness, we all die eventually.
I am very sorry to hear you have CF. It is not a nice disease and it must be constantly monitored. You are probably taking lots of drugs including antibiotics as you are more susceptible to getting very sick if you get a chest infection. CF is a serious disease but with the health care of today you can lead a relatively normal life but you may have episodes of sickness which you have to get treatment for. I wish you all the luck for the future but remember to make the most of life and don’t let it stop you doing what you want to do.
I am very sorry to hear this, but I am not a medical doctor so don’t want to answer personal medical questons. It depends on the severity of the CF, and only your doctor can inform you about this.
Treatment methods for CF have improved a lot in recent years and patients with good care live a very long life just like the rest of us. We will all die one day, it is part of life in the living world. I don;t think it is good thinking about death as it will not change anything. All humans think about death at some stage but the most important thing is to enjoy life as much as you can and to get to do things that you enjoy. I don’t think anyone can predict what their future will be anyway.
Peopl can die from infections that take advantage of the fact that in some cases of Cystic fibrosis ( if thats what we are talking about here) the lungs cannot clear bacteria anymore . So if you have CF you just have to watch for signs of infection so it can be caught early and treated with antibiotics. CF immunocompromises you, just as illnesses, cuts and many other things do…we just need to adjust to deal with it
