When I’m working I drive a four-wheel drive. At the moment, the one I’m using is a Toyota Land Crusier. It is good for wet and muddy conditions and when there are wildlife on the roads. There is plenty of space in the back for all our equipment too. This is a work vehicle. It is owned by the observatory, not me.

I own an Astra, but I cycle into work (over 100 miles each week) and I’m not particularly interested in cars, but I like Top Gear. Go figure!

Volkswagon Golf. Am I super cool or what?

My husband has a Ducati Superbike, if that makes me cooler. It’s really nice, but I call it his girlfriend.

I don’t drive a car, but I have a Yamaha motorbike that I ride to work every day. (There’s a pic of it on my profile) Everyone jokes about me being a hardcore motorcycling chick because I am really small and nice and not really ‘hardcore’ at all lol!

Motorbikes are a lot more fun than driving cars and they are faster and easy to ride! I think everyone should ride motorbikes. 😀

I used to drive a car which was a red VW Polo 1 L but I was involved in a pretty serious car accident and my poor Polo was smashed to bits. After that I built up a big fear of driving and that’s really how I got into motorbiking. I feel a lot safer on a bike than in the car, and it’s fun which takes the fear away. I can now bring myself to drive a car if it’s essential, but otherwise I avoid it at all costs!
