      2 babies that share a mothers womb. They can be identical (sharing the exact same DNA because they split off from the same egg/sperm fertilization) or non-identical (different DNA because 2 separate eggs were fertilised by 2 separate sperms).

      A twin is one of two offspring produced in the same pregnancy: twins can either be identical (called “monozygotic“), meaning that they develop from one zygote that splits and forms two embryos, or fraternal (“dizygotic“) because they develop from two separate eggs that are fertilised by two separate sperm.
