• Question: Jackfruit is the only fruit that grows also from the tree trunk. What makes this possible?

      I just looked at some pictures on the internet and I think it looks like the fruit grow from little branches that come off the tree trunk. Flowers and leaves grow from these little branches and the fruit grow from the pollinated flowers. The little branches provide a driect link into the tree trunk which is where the fruit gets the energy and water to grow.

      It’s funny looking but pretty cool! 🙂

      I had never heard of jackfruit before!

      Not sure what it would taste like, but it is the national fruit of Bangladesh!
