  A balloon? Well when you blow up a balloon yourself, it will mostly be carbon dioxide inside it, but if you buy one of those balloons that floats, it will be fills with helium (thats the gas that if you breathe it in, it makes your voice go really high!). helium balloons float because helium is lighter than air.
