      This is a huge question (and a good one!) I have to say both in terms of explaining behaviour. I totally don’t think that nature or nurture alone can explain things. For example, thinking about health (as my background), your biological make up and physical health can really make a difference in terms of how you feel and what you can do. Someone who has a particular genetic (as in nature explanation) condition may find doing everyday things trickier than someone who does not have this condition. However, someone with that condition who has access to better healthcare, education and climate (if heat plays a role in treatment for that condition) would do better than someone who did not have access to those things. We know that where people live, education and those types of factors make a huge difference too (nuture).

      Critical psychology now denies the construction of nature vs nuture. Consider this:
      – suppose we have a bag of mixed seeds, each with different plant dna (their nature).
      – suppose we take a 2 random handfuls and drop each one into different soul. (their nuture)
      – different plants will thrive in different soil, because they are suited to it.

      The plants that do best then is not determined by either nature or nuture as separate concepts, but by the interactions between the two. Thus, constructing them as separate is a fallacy.
