      Hi _bethnicholls_
This is all do with how we are designed. As humans we are designed to breathe through our noses. The air enters the nose, is warmed and moistened by the sinuses and then travels down the throat into the lungs.
Sometimes we don’t breathe as we are designed to do (eg when we have a blocked nose) and we breathe through our mouths which sends dry and often cold air directly to our lungs which can cause a dry mouth and throat.
