we have over 500 people working for the Royal society of Chemistry in a wide range of jobs.
Graduates can come to us to train to be a publishing editor, which means they will learn how to edit and produce scientific research journals. We also have a graduate traing scheme where you can work in different areas of the organisation. Some of it is linked to chemistry, such as working in scientifi policy, or to support education or our members. But we also have all of the normal departments that any large organisation has such as a finance team who look after the money, an ICT department that run our computers and networks, a HR department, a marketing department and a communications department. A lot of people working in those departments don’t have a chemisty or science background at all.
