Question: you said that you were helping develop wound dressing etc etc to other countries, would the delivery to said countries be free or cheap as they might not be able to afford this delivery and your funding for development would be a waste of time if this was not to be the case...!!

It depends! The work is in its early stages so it’s hard to tell what the cost would be of scaling the processes up to an industrial scale. I certainly hope that my work will have a positive impact on poorer countries, but the unfortunate reality is that this is unlikely, especially in the short term. But in science you need to have vision and patience – maybe in 5 or 10 years this research will have progressed to a point where it has more immediate benefits to people around the world.
