      The best thing about being a scientist who works with cells is that you can see them with microscopes and actually look at how they grow, change, multiply. One cool thing you can do is make the certain cells fluorescent and then watch how they act and move with a live imaging camera and make cool videos of them moving!

      It is pretty cool because you can actually see them. Most of the things we work with in the lab, like DNA and RNA, are just impossible to see. In addition, having cells is like having a pet: you feed them, keep them clean and healthy, make them comfortable… it is easy and relaxed in a way.
