      Sounds like one of these chemical compounds found in rocks. I wouldn’t feed it to any cell, sounds like toxic

      Indeed! Manganese and oxygen are elements, so it’s made of one atom of Manganese, a metal, and two of Oxygen (MnO2). In a way, it’s the Manganese equivalent of rust, which is Iron Oxide. It’s useful in batteries, but I would probably avoid eating it.
