      They are a type of organelles called ribosomes. They are the factory of proteins of the cell, quite cool little things. DNA has the code for proteins. From this code, the cell produces RNA, which is the messenger that gets the information to the ribosomes. From the code in the RNA, the ribosomes can built up the proteins that will develop the different functions of the cell.
