i was really lucky to have a very nice childhood – me and younger brother have loads of good memories of times with our parents.

Fun – I got into ‘science’ at a very early age when I was given a science for kids book as a present one buirthday.

Mine was a mixed bag. My parents split up when I was 2 so I don’t remember what it was like to live with both my parents and they both remarried and had children. So I have two step parents and 3 brothers from both sides. Growing up was hard at times because my mum and dad never spoke.
I grew up in a town in north wales where none of my friends were going to go to uni to study science. Not many people moved away either and none of my family had been to uni.
I was inspired by a lot of teachers and my mum and step dad always pushed me to do my best and to work hard. They told me I could do anything I wanted – So I did.
I am pretty proud as I would be described as having come from a disadvantaged background but I have done well 🙂 It just goes to show that it doesnt matter where you come from or what your background is, good or bad, you can always achieve it if you try hard enough!

Just mum and I for primary school, lived in Bristol, a substantial city. Although the statistics apparently weren’t too good about life goals and achievements from that area of the city etc, we did perfectly fine.

That said, once my mum met my stepdad, we moved about 20 miles to the country, I gained some annoying (I kid, I kid) siblings and things changed a bit, but gradually to my eyes. Must say I preferred my siblings when they were younger 😀

I don’t really know what to say about my childhood to be honest. I enjoyed myself, all the normal annoyances, school and what have you.
