      Global warming.
War may get most of the press but on a grand scale it affects only some of Earth’s population.
Global warming – whether it be as a result of man-made activities or the effects of our Sun – is a far greater danger to our civilisation and will affect everyone on Earth

I think that I would also stop global warming for similar reasons. I think wars would stop if enough people were killed and we got down to truly small numbers. However, if global warming isn’t stopped it will have devastating effects across the globe whereas war is more local to certain places.
I do however think that is easier for us to say sitting in the UK where there are no bombs being dropped currently. If I lived in a war zone I imagine I would say stop wars since they are so awful and I would probably rather live through some global warming in the hope I am not here for the day that it devastates the world.

To be fair, climate change is something that actually has a scientific answer. War… war has been going on since the first caveman decided to pick up a rock and hit his neighbour with it.

As has been said though, climate change will effect the entire planet without fear or favour, and has already done so. Several islands have already disappeared and more will do so in the very near future. Thus it gets my vote too.

War – because its an immediate threat to life.
I think that if we could stop wars and divert all the scientific attention and resources to tackling global warming we can stop both by stopping just one.
