        I doubt we’ll see one device that does all – many small devices (Roomba etc)

        If you are after a human-like servant I think this kind of device is already under development

        Hopefully not long I hate housework (especially hoovering and washing up). I think a lot of these things exist individually but at the moment you would probably need a lot of money to get one (and probably easier to do the work yourself rather than do all the work you’d need to earn the money to buy one). I think we’ll probably get something pretty advanced in our lifetime though.

        I don’t think we are as far off as we think! There are robots which can walk and stop themselves falling over if they stumble etc. We are definitely getting closer. I would guess 50 years if i had to!

        I agree with the others, it won’t be long I don’t think.

        Not sure I would want one though, not particularly sure why, just don’t like the idea much.
