difficult to know – right now the UK gets more money from EU Science funding then any other country per person so it’d be a big loss to loose this – likewise the ease of collaboration under such funding helps develop better science. The other side argues we’d pay less into the EU so we would hav more to spend – I don’t know who to trust

So lets follow the Cornish Pasty Association instead http://www.cornishpastyassociation.co.uk/2016/06/a-statement-on-europe/

I don’t think my work will be affected as I already have money from the EU. Science is very reliant on money from the EU so I mostly am scared for the future of research in science as we will lose a lot of money by leaving the EU. Free movement in the EU also means lots of people from abroad can come here to work and study, and equally we can go abroad. A lot of these people are very talented people and really do some great science over here. I worry that if we leave we won’t attract people like that as much and it will slow science in the uk down.

I am going to be voting to stay in. That is for the reasons I’ve said above.

      I am voting out.

It will likely affect my chances of getting a job, but probably not my next one. Although I don’t have a job yet, even if we vote to leave there will be at least a two year gap before we officially leave the EU and break all ties.

There will no doubt be differences in how things work, but I am not overly concerned for the future.
