        Do you mean for domestic supply – or if we were in need of clean water.

        Distilled water is pretty pure.

        I believe for the water that comes out of your tap at home it is filtered to remove any solids from it and then it is chlorinated to kill any nasty bacteria you might not want to drink in there. Sometimes it makes your water smell a bit bleachy if they accidentally add too much. This happened to my water a few weeks ago 🙁

        I’m not sure if there are any other processes?
