• Question: why is our hair such a boring colour? why cant we be born with pink blue or green hair???????? x

      Because that is how we have evolved. If we had bright coloured hair, our ancestors would have been eaten in no time because of how easy they were to spot against all those natural brown and green colours.

      That would be so cool if we naturally had bright hair colours. I think I would want pink and purple stripes.

      But I think the reason we don’t have bright hair is that it would have been bad for our ancestors’ survival. Bright hair would have attracted the attention of animals they were trying to hunt, so it would have been much harder to catch animals for food. And it might even have attracted the attention of lions and tigers and other things that might hunt humans. So, boring-coloured hair that blends in with the surroundings was much safer for them!
