Important things about healthy eathing are getting the right amounts of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, not eating more calories than your body needs – and eating a variety of different fruits and vegetables.

There aren’t really any particular healthy foods – it’s all about having a good diet overall.

Eating healthily means eating plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and salads. It means avoiding too much sugar (so not too many sweets or fizzy drinks), too much salt (don’t add too much salt to your food, and try not to eat too many ready meals because they contain loads of salt, even if they don’t taste too salty) and too much fat (cut down on cakes, biscuits and fatty meats).

The most important thing is to try and eat a balanced diet – if you don’t eat too much of any one thing, you should be ok!

I suppose that healthy food is any food which doesn’t actively make your health worse. We must try and eat a well balanced diet, and remember that all food must be eaten in moderation, whether we consider them ‘healthy’ or not.
