      I research the way proteins change in cancer. Understanding these changes allows us to understand how the cancer cells gain an advantage over healthy cells and point us in the direction of how we might find specific vulnerabilities in cancer cells. We can then investigate if these vulnerabilities can be targeted with a new drug.

      I tackle research into cancer from different angles. I am interested in better understanding how mutations in breast cancer translate into the way the tumour behaves, and responds to chemotherapies. My group also look at engineering new molecules that target tumours.

      I research radiotherapy and try to find ways to make certain cancers more sensitive to the radiation treatments.
