I always had an interest in science when I was in high school and when I started studying biology in High School I realised that it was human biology and medical science that interested me most. I was also quite good at Science in school and was the subject I did the best at. I wanted a job that I was interested in so chose to work in Science.

I also wanted a job that would be challenging and motivating. Research attracted me because it was all about problem solving and understanding new things. I didn’t want to work in a job that would be doing the same repetitive tasks every day, I wanted variation and new things. Medical research also had the benefit of knowing that however small the research may be it might one day lead to something that could help a lot of people.
