      The second picture on my profile page is of two types of cells growing together. It is done with fluorescent microscopes so we can see specific things in cells in different colours.

      The large slightly rectangular ones with the yellow fibres are fibroblasts, this is a type of skin cells that produce a lot of the protein like collagen that makes up the biggest part of your skin. The smaller ones are cancer cells specifically melanoma cells. The blue is a dye that binds to the DNA in cells and so shows each cells nucleus
