Worry less 🙂 10 years ago I was about to finish medical school and move a few hundred miles away to a new city for my first junior doctor jobs (plot spoiler – it was absolutely fine!). I try and give myself the same advice now! Ten-years-ago me probably worried more about making ‘the right choices’ – I try and remind myself there are only ‘choices’, and you can always change your mind!

Same as the above – worry much less. Things don’t always work out the way that you planned, and if you develop a healthy relationship with spontaneity balanced with good planning, then you will have a great, fun, less stressful time.

10 years ago, I was probably around your age, sitting my GCSE exams in year 10 (although that really doesn’t feel like 10 years ago to me!!). My advice to myself would be similar to the previous advice. Worry less, don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Take time to enjoy things outside of your studies, like spending time with friends and family, and doing hobbies, rather than stressing the small stuff. What seems big at the time (GCSEs, A levels etc) will not matter much in 10 years time.

The most important thing is that you enjoy life and do the best you can.

10 years ago I was starting my A levels. I would say my advice is to work hard but also enjoy yourself. You’re young so you have a lot more energy and drive to do things so just take advantage of that.

To follow my passion and not care what other people think, I got judged in high school for being really into science and this did make me feel less confident but you should never feel bad just because you have found a passion and want to pursue it.

I agree with the answers of other people here. Worry less would be my top advice! When there is a problem that has a solution, there is no need to worry, as there is a solution. If there is no solution, no need to worry either, as there is no solution. Just turn the page and keep going with the best smile and positive vibes!
