That is what the next part of my research is trying to understand, what is the cause of this difference. It may be genetic as men have an X and a Y chromosome and women have two X chromosomes, so slight differences in some genes. Or it may be hormonal, men having more testosterone and women have more oestrogen. Both of these factors are known to cause differences in our immune systems but which specifically is causing the difference in skin cancer I am still investigating
