• Question: hi karin i would like to know if brain cancer could have an effect on our daily lives like if it could controll what we do or make us think of different things thank you!

      That’s an interesting question. Our brains make us think, speak and move because of particular cells in our brain sending messages between each other and interacting with different areas of our brain. Brain cancers don’t have cells in them that can do that – brain cancer cells are only interested in growing and taking up space. This actually means that if a brain cancer gets in the way of healthy messages, they might make it more difficult for someone to do certain things, such as move in a certain way, or use the words they want to. Where a cancer is will affect the kind of messages it disrupts, and in turn what symptoms a patient will have. I hope that answers your question!
