Yes I started my career in Australia when I started my PhD in cancer research in my hometown of Newcastle (not the one in the UK, we have a lot of cities and towns named after UK cities). I also did my first job after my PhD in ovarian cancer research in Sydney before moving the Manchester in the UK for my current job.
Science, in particular research, is a great career to get opportunities to work all around the world.
