      Anything ending in -ology means to study, anything starting with path- means disease. So pathology is the study of disease and we do this using body fluids, tissue, organs and whole bodies. Oral pathology is a specialist department within pathology where we look at diseases of the head and neck, ranging from cancers to simple cysts.
