• Question: Why do we procrastinate?

      Hi Cai,

      According to psychologists there are several different reasons why we procrastinate.

      1). To avoid making decisions: If you have ever had to make a really hard decision you know that sometimes that you want to put it off until the very last moment.

      2) For the thrill: Some people get a buzz out of living life on the edge and for them procrastination helps them do this.

      3) To avoid the feeling of failure: This is why people often procrastinate rather than revise.

      Apparently, procrastination is a learnt behaviour rather than being natural. You can train yourself not to do it.
