• Question: Why do we need to sleep

      We need to sleep so that our brains can rest and process all the things it has seen in the day. You may not be aware of it but walking, talking, playing, seeing and picking things up (as well as school) takes a lot of brain power! If we did not sleep then our brain would start to get confused about what is real and what is fantasy (like dreams). Also, when you are younger, your brain is still growing and filling up with all the things you have learnt at school so young people need more sleep to make up for this.
