Electronic devices can change the way the brain works. For example, there’s some evidence that playing for too many hours on computers can alter a person’s emotions (emotions are regulated by the brain). If a person plays violent games for too many hours, then they may act violently in real life. This is functional damage, but there’s also evidence of structural brain damage due to spending too much time on electronic devices. The brain can shrink (loss of grey matter) due to spending too much time on a computer.
