• Question: Why do some people have curly hair and other people have straight hair?

      Good question!
      I’ve looked it up, and curly versus straight hair is inherited through our genes. Hair is curly when the proteins that make up the structure join together in slightly different ways, which makes the hair a different shape, and makes it curl.

      If you have a perm put in your hair, the chemicals break up some of the bonds between these proteins to make the hair curl.
