Wow what a question! And I really don’t know the answer. If you didn’t have any sensory receptors for touch, taste, smell, vision, hearing then you wouldn’t be able to experience the world. It doesn’t seem like that would stop you feeling happy for example, but it is hard to think of anything that could make you happy if you had no senses.
Tough question, I wonder what the other scientists think…

I think you’re right. A lot of feelings we have are based on feedback from the outside world, so if you’re not getting the outside world input then you may have feelings, but you might not be able to understand what they mean!
