Hi @kshergold12
I think it’s fine to be religious and a scientist – believing in God doesn’t mean you can’t then be a scientist, in fact some really famous scientists are religious.
Hope this answers your question – what do you think?
I agree. In the last lab I worked in there were 2 atheists (dont believe in god), a Christian and a Muslim. We were all really hard working as equally as good at what we did so I think you can be a good scientist whether youre religious or not.
Thank you @Suzi Gage
It did answer my question! I was just wondering because if you believe in creation then you can’t believe in the big bang theory, If God created Adam and Eve then evolution doesn’t really apply etc. But I guess you can believe in the bits that feel right to you
I’ll definetley look into the other scientists
Thanks again 😀
@kshergold12
I think you’re right. You can have faith without believing that every word in the Bible is true, and also you can use the scientific method to investigate questions without believing that every discovery in science is correct. In fact being skeptical of science is a good way for a scientist to be, it keeps you striving to find out the truth, and improve research.
