      No-one knows for sure, and that’s why I’m investigating it. It is probably a combination of the effects of genes on the X and Y chromosomes (females have two Xs, whereas males have an X and a Y), hormones (e.g. testosterone which is much higher in boys) and the fact that ADHD boys tend to be more disruptive than ADHD girls (and tend to get taken to the doctors quicker to be diagnosed)
