In the near future I am going to get a cup of tea and have lunch in 18ish months time hopefully I will get a PhD and be a Dr of science. Then who knows maybe the sky will fall down or football managers will run for government or everyone will live happily ever after.

I don’t think you can predict the future… but hopefully with scientific research healthcare and treatments for serious illnesses will be developed that now there are no treatments for.

Eventually I expect we’ll exhaust all our supplies on Earth and our population will grow so large that we’ll have to move to colonise other planets. We’ll probably all be cyborgs (mixtures of flesh and machine) and have little robots floating around in our bodies that sort out any damage.

In the short term, I expect we’ll manage to develop better treatments for complicated disorders such as cancer and heart disease (the two biggest killers), will make massive advances in understanding the tiny particles from which the Universe is composed and will develop more efficient and greener forms of transportation

Hiya! 1) cure for cancer – next 20 years, 2) full cloning of human beings who will be allowed to grow and fully develop – next 50 years, 3) tele-transportation – next 100 years.
