Each lobe of the brain helps process different types of information. In general, the occipital lobes are involved in visual processing, the parietal lobes in spatial processing, and the frontal lobes in facial processing. If any one of these lobes was impaired there would be different consequences related to the processing in that area. Damage to the parietal lobe on the right side of the brain might cause you to perceptually neglect the left side of space for example. I don’t think I could choose one to live without! The way they all work together is what makes us human.
